On the Great Glen Way you sleep in hostels, B&Bs, guest houses, hotels and campsites in the towns and villages, plus a few free Trailblazer rest sites by the lochs; there are no huts. Wild camping is allowed under the Scottish Outdoor Access Code, but not on the canal banks. Beds are few at Gairlochy and South Laggan, so book well ahead for May to September, or stay in Spean Bridge or Invergarry; several companies carry bags between stops.
