Checked online in October 2026. Places marked "listed, not confirmed" appear on a public listing (OpenStreetMap, Scottish Canals or walkers' trip reports) but could not be confirmed on their own website. Places on the Great Glen Way fill up from May to September, and Loch Ness is busy with other visitors too; book ahead and tell your host if you will arrive late. Baggage-transfer companies carry bags between overnight stops; book them in advance. The Citylink 919 bus along the A82 links most stage ends, but not Gairlochy.
