On the Dales Way you sleep in village inns, B&Bs, farmhouses, hostels, bunk barns and campsites; there are no huts. Wild camping is not allowed without the landowner's permission. Beds are few at Buckden, Cowgill and Burneside, and there is no shop between Buckden and Dent, so book well ahead for May to September; several companies can book rooms and carry your bags.
