On the Wonderland Trail you sleep only in designated wilderness camps, booked on a wilderness permit ($12 per person per night in 2026), plus the Mowich Lake, White River and Cougar Rock campgrounds. Camps have tent sites, a toilet and bear poles or boxes, but no shelter, food or shop. Apply for the Early Access Lottery in February, and book rooms at Longmire, Paradise or Ashford early too.
