Stage 6 of the Stubai High Trail covers 4.5 km from Sulzenau Hütte to Nürnberger Hütte, with 450 m of ascent and 324 m of descent. The highest point is 2,593 m. Allow about 2.5 hours of walking, plus breaks.

Historic alpine club hut (DAV Nürnberg, 1886) at about 2,280 m with about 50 beds and 80 dorm places. Open 2026 from 18 June to 21 September; booking is online only. Hut phone in June-September, the second number is the valley line for October-May.
