Stage 5 of the Stubai High Trail covers 5.1 km from Dresdner Hütte to Sulzenau Hütte, with 420 m of ascent and 542 m of descent. The highest point is 2,670 m. Allow about 2.5 hours of walking, plus breaks.

Sulzenauhütte
Alpine club hut (DAV Leipzig) at 2,191 m below the Sulzenau glacier, with 4-, 6- and 2-bed rooms and 70 dorm places; half board or à la carte. 2026 season from 12 June to late September or early October; book online.

The huts open from about mid-June to late September, depending on snow. Book ahead, mostly online; bookings are binding, and a hut sleeping bag is compulsory.
