Stage 4 of the Stubai High Trail covers 13.2 km from Neue Regensburger Hütte to Dresdner Hütte, with 1,164 m of ascent and 1,128 m of descent. The highest point is 2,858 m. Allow about 7 hours of walking, plus breaks.

Large alpine club hut (DAV Dresden) at 2,308 m, 5 minutes from the Fernau middle station of the Stubai Glacier cable car: 140 beds in 2- and multi-bed rooms plus 14 in the Zollhütte. Summer 2026 ran 26 June to 27 September (last night 26 September); book online.

The huts open from about mid-June to late September, depending on snow. Book ahead, mostly online; bookings are binding, and a hut sleeping bag is compulsory.
