On the Kaçkar Mountains Traverse there are no huts. You sleep in family pensions in Yaylalar and Olgunlar at the start, camp at Dilberdüzü and the Kavrun lakes with your own tent, stove and food, and find simple rooms and a campsite in Yukarı Kavrun and many hotels and pensions in Ayder. The yayla pensions open only from about June to September. Pay in cash (Turkish lira); the only ATMs are in Ayder, Çamlıhemşin and Yusufeli.
