Karwendelhaus (DAV)
Large DAV hut at 1,765 m on the Hochalmsattel, with 42 beds in dorm rooms, 10 in twin rooms and 141 mattress places. Usually open early June to early October (until 3 October in 2026); cards accepted; book online.

Most high huts open from mid or late June to mid or late September. Book July and August early; most Alpine club huts take bookings only online.
