On the Sunshine Coast Trail you sleep in free huts built by volunteers, or in your own tent beside them. Huts cannot be booked, are first come, first served and one night only, so carry a tent, a stove and all your food. Powell River on stage 3 has hotels, campsites and shops; book rooms there, the Lund Water Taxi and any trailhead shuttle ahead in summer.
