Historic 1923 lodge with cabins and a dining room at Vermilion Crossing on Highway 93, about 9 km by road south of the Floe Lake trailhead. The property was listed for sale in 2026 and its season could not be confirmed, so call before you plan on it.
Checked online in October 2026. Places marked "not confirmed by the operator" are listed on OpenStreetMap or in guides but could not be checked on an official page. On the trail you may camp only at the Parks Canada backcountry campground named on your permit. Every night must be reserved in advance; random camping is not allowed and there is no overflow camping at Floe Lake.
