On the Mestia to Ushguli trek you sleep in family guesthouses in the villages: Zhabeshi, Adishi, Iprali (or Khalde, just before it) and Ushguli. Most offer dinner and breakfast for an extra charge and can make a packed lunch. Book ahead for July and August, by phone or on Booking.com, and call outside the summer, when some places close. Pay in cash (Georgian lari): there are no ATMs after Mestia.
