On the Lemosho Route you sleep in tents at the official Kilimanjaro National Park (KINAPA) camps: Mti Mkubwa, Shira 1, Shira 2, Barranco, Karanga and Barafu, then Mweka on the way down. There are no huts or lodges on the route, and you cannot camp on your own: a licensed tour operator books your park permit and camps and brings the tents, food, cook, guide and porters. Book a hotel in Moshi or Arusha, or near Londorossi Gate, for the nights before and after the climb.
