Sullo Stubaier Höhenweg si dorme in otto rifugi del Club Alpino con camerate e camere; la maggior parte offre la mezza pensione (cena e colazione). Aprono più o meno da metà giugno a fine settembre, a seconda della neve. Prenota in anticipo, quasi sempre online, e leggi le regole di cancellazione di ogni rifugio: le prenotazioni sono vincolanti. Il sacco lenzuolo è obbligatorio e conviene portare abbastanza contanti. In Tirolo il campeggio libero non è consentito.
