Sul Cape Wrath Trail quasi tutte le notti si passano in tenda o in un bothy: un ricovero gratuito e non chiuso a chiave, per lo più curato dalla Mountain Bothies Association, che non si può prenotare. Il campeggio libero è legale secondo lo Scottish Outdoor Access Code. Hotel, B&B, ostelli e campeggi sono pochi e lontani tra loro (Glenfinnan, Shiel Bridge, Strathcarron, Kinlochewe, Oykel Bridge, Inchnadamph, Kylesku, Rhiconich), quindi prenotali presto. Diversi bothy chiudono nella stagione di caccia al cervo maschio (da settembre al 20 ottobre).
