Stage 2 of the High Coast Trail covers 9.0 km from Lövvik to Fjärdbotten, with 198 m of ascent and 204 m of descent. The highest point is 116 m. Allow about 3.5 hours of walking, plus breaks.

Fjärdbottens fäbodvall
Free trail huts at the old Fjärdbotten summer farm on the Häggnäset headland, about 0.3 km off the trail: small timber cabins with bunk beds and a 35 m² log hall with long tables, plus room for tents and two cold springs. They cannot be booked, so carry a tent in case they are full.
Valkallen toppstuga
Small hut on the 240 m summit of Valkallen, on an 800 m side path about 2 km after Lövvik, with sleeping places, an outdoor toilet and a barbecue area; one of the best views on the trail. Free, cannot be booked; share with other hikers.
Halsvikens vindskydd
Open wind shelter with a fireplace on the shore of Halsviken, on the trail about 4.5 km before Fjärdbotten. Free, cannot be booked; share with other hikers.
ArkNat wind shelter by the red granite slabs of Rödhällorna, on the trail about 1.7 km before Fjärdbotten. Free, cannot be booked; share with other hikers.
Checked online in October 2026. Places marked "listed, not confirmed" appear in the official trail guidebook or on OpenStreetMap but not on a current official listing or their own website. The trail huts and wind shelters are free, cannot be booked and must be shared, so carry a tent. Hostels, B&Bs and campsites in the villages have only a few rooms and many open only in summer: book ahead for June to August.
