On the Amatola Trail you sleep in five basic forest huts with bunks and mattresses but no electricity. The huts cannot be booked on their own: Amatola Trails sells a full package with the permit, the huts, two nights at Away with the Fairies in Hogsback and the shuttle to Maden Dam, for groups of at least four. Carry a sleeping bag, a gas stove and your food, or arrange goodie drops.
