Places on the Stevenson Trail (GR 70) are small and many serve dinner only if you book it: ask for half board and a picnic lunch when you reserve, and tell your host if you will arrive late or walk with a donkey or a dog. Several companies (for example La Malle Postale and Transbagages) carry bags between overnight stops; book them in advance.
