Matamir

Jebel Mutamir camp

  • Camping
  • Meals

Wild camp of the official 12-day Sinai Trail programme at the foot of Jebel Mutamir, near the Nawamis tombs; you sleep in your own tent or under the stars and the Bedouin team cooks dinner and breakfast from camel-carried supplies. Optional sunset climb of the peak from camp.

Checked online in October 2026. Places marked "not confirmed by the operator" are listed by the Sinai Trail, on OpenStreetMap or in guides but could not be checked on their own page. Camps on the Sinai Trail have no buildings, toilets or shops. Bring your own tent, a sleeping bag rated to −5 °C and a mat; camels carry them. Never wash in springs or wells: they are Bedouin drinking water.
