Expect cold nights at Soraypampa (3,900 m), shared toilets at most camps and hot showers for a few soles; treat all stream water and carry cash, as there are no cash machines before Aguas Calientes.
The Salkantay Trek route works offline in Outest, with these places on the map and a trail guide you can ask about water, weather and the next village.
