On the Kepler Track you sleep in three DOC Great Walk huts (Luxmore, Iris Burn and Moturau) or at the Brod Bay and Iris Burn campsites. From 27 October 2026 to 30 April 2027 every night must be booked online in advance, and international visitors pay a higher rate. Huts have mattresses, gas cookers and heating but no food or utensils. Book Te Anau rooms and the shuttle or water taxi early too.
