Park rules to know
- Do not start the GR 20 from Calenzana after 11:00 (municipal order).
- Wild camping is forbidden: camp only at refuges or designated bivouac areas, and book your pitch.
- From 15 June to 30 September fires and smoking are banned in the hills, and massifs can be closed at short notice when fire risk is high: check the fire-risk map the evening before.
- The Cirque de la Solitude has been closed since a fatal rockfall in 2015; the GR 20 between Haut Asco and Tighjettu now goes over the Pointe des Éboulis.
Before each stage, ask the refuge warden about the weather; Météo-France publishes a mountain forecast for Corsica.
