Nights on the Anillo de Picos are in staffed mountain refuges with dinner, a bunk in a shared dorm and breakfast. Most are staffed from May or June to October; the official season is 1 June to 15 October. Book every night ahead, most through reservarefugios.com (Ándara, La Terenosa and Cabaña Verónica by phone). Bring cash and a sleeping-bag liner, which is compulsory. Cabaña Verónica has only about six places, and Hotel Áliva is closed until summer 2027. Camping is limited to bivouac above 1,800 m.
