Munro

Bare Knoll Campground (independent walkers)

  • Camping

Twelve tent platforms and a toilet beside the Cape Pillar track, about 1.5 km before Munro, for walkers on the Old Cape Pillar Track with a parks pass. Not part of the Three Capes booking; no water, so carry it all, and register at the Fortescue Bay site office.

Munro Cabin (PWS)

  • Rooms

Track cabin for 48 walkers on the Cape Pillar track, the same layout as the other cabins, and the only one with showers (two outdoor hot showers). Only for booked Three Capes walkers; on day 3 you can leave your big pack here for the Cape Pillar side trip.

Checked online in October 2026. Places marked "not confirmed by the operator" are listed on OpenStreetMap or in guides but could not be checked on an official page. The cabins on the Three Capes Track are run by the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service: 48 bunks with mattresses in shared rooms, a heated dining hub with gas cooktops and pans, rainwater and toilets, and a Host Ranger. Bring a sleeping bag, food, cutlery and a head torch.
