Checked online in October 2026. Places marked "not confirmed by the operator" are named in trek operator itineraries, older listings or on OpenStreetMap but have no official page; village sites change, so your operator decides where you sleep. On the Kokoda Track the guesthouses are simple village huts and the campsites are clearings run by the landowners, with drop toilets and creek water. They cannot be booked and are first come, first served; fees go to the village through your operator. Bring a mosquito net and treat all water.
