On the Marangu Route you sleep in the Kilimanjaro National Park (KINAPA) huts at Mandara, Horombo and Kibo: shared bunk rooms with mattresses, dining rooms and toilets. It is the only route on Kilimanjaro with huts. You cannot book them yourself: a licensed tour operator books your park permit and bunks and brings the guide, cook, food and porters. Bunks are limited, so book early for the dry seasons, and book a hotel in Marangu or Moshi for the nights before and after the climb.
