Many hikers end day 1 here and make it a 5-day trek; book well ahead, and the last 8 km by road is only for 4x4 or the Bedouin pickup service.
Wild camp run by a local Bedouin guide on the trail at km 17.7, about 4 km before the Wadi Malaga campsite. Tents and meals are set up for groups that book ahead; it can also be your stage end.
