Stage 4 of the Jatbula Trail covers 16.9 km from 17 Mile Falls to Sandy Camp, with 83 m of ascent and 118 m of descent. The highest point is 307 m. Allow about 5.5 hours of walking, plus breaks.

Fourth campsite, on a big paperbark-lined waterhole with a sandy beach, at the end of the longest day (16.8 km, Edith River crossings). Toilets and an Emergency Call Device are near the tent sites; maximum 15 walkers a night, one night only.

The trail campsites are booked with your NT Parks permit, hold 15 walkers each and can be used for one night only. Bring a tent, a gas stove and all your food.
