Places marked "listed, not confirmed" appear on a public listing (OpenStreetMap, the municipality or the official Goldsteig stage page) but could not be confirmed on their own website. Small villages such as Herzogau, Eck and Philippsreut have only one or two places, many inns close one day a week (Ruhetag), and the Falkenstein and Lusen huts take overnight guests only from May to October with a booking: book ahead, especially from June to September.
